Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum two years experience in the architectural aluminum industry
- Experience in AutoCAD
- Product knowledge of curtain-wall and storefront assembly. This includes knowledge of appropriate application to certain building types
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings as well as project specifications
- Team player with excellent communication and follow through skills
- Available and willing to perform work outside the normal scheduled hours in order to meet peak business needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Candidate expected to reside in the Chicago Metropolitan area
Job Description:
- Checking Pittco shop drawings (for moment of inertia and steel reinforcing as well as perimeter fasteners)
- Partner with estimators and engineering department to select appropriate products for bidding purposes
- Engineering and product selection for clients
- Custom project design which may include new die shapes or an entire product line
- Preparation of formal book of calculations for submission to outside engineering firm

CAD Technician
Requirements:
- Three plus years experience in the curtain wall industry
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Ability to read architectural and structural plans
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity with standard drafting practices
- Team player with excellent communication and follow through skills
- Candidate expected to reside in the Chicago Metropolitan area
Job Description:
- Produce shop drawings including floor plans, elevations, and details
- Interpret & coordinate structural calculations with shop drawings
- Other duties may be assigned
Project Manager
Requirements:
- Experience in the Architectural Metals Industry or coursework in Building Construction Management Technology, Construction Engineering & Management, or Civil Engineering
- Project management experience
- Strong PC skills
- Training or experience using AutoCAD
- Experience reading blueprints
- Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong results orientation

Job Description:
Candidate will oversee architectural metal projects with responsibility for the following:
- Coordinate with Project Management Team, Sales and Drafting Departments to ensure the successful completion of the project and total customer satisfaction
- Use project management software to track all project deliverables including project timelines, cost and customer interaction
- Review blue prints and shop drawings to prepare take-off and cut sheets;
- Interface with vendors to price and order material;
- Partner with Master Scheduler to complete project according to timelines; and
- Manage project cost and billing
Senior Estimator
Requirements:
- Five plus years experience in the architectural aluminum industry
- Background in Engineering would be helpful
- Candidates should be PC proficient and have a working knowledge of Computer Aided Design
- Team player
- Strong results orientation
- Knowledge of estimating methods in the areas of preparation and installation of fabricated entrances and curtain walls
- Able to prepare bids
- Sales and service orientation
- Proficiency in door hardware would be helpful
- Candidate expected to reside in the Chicago Metropolitan area
Job Description:
- Estimate and engineer large projects by adapting Pittco's metal systems to architectural specifications, as well as design of major retrofit and replacement projects
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation to assist in the preparation of time, cost, and labor estimates for all phases of a project
- Consult with clients, vendors or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates
- Coordination with Sales staff and Project Management staff to ensure the successful completion of the project and total customer satisfaction
